Sneakersnstuff (SNS) is a globally recognized retailer specializing in limited-edition and exclusive sneakers and streetwear. Founded in 1999 by Erik Fagerlind and Peter Jansson in Stockholm, Sweden, SNS has grown to include stores in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Berlin. Renowned for its curated selection and collaborations with top brands like Nike, Adidas, and New Balance, SNS has established itself as a key player in the sneaker culture and streetwear community, offering both online and in-store experiences that attract sneaker enthusiasts worldwide.
During my tenure as a Senior Full-stack Developer at Sneakersnstuff (SNS) from 2020 to 2022, I was instrumental in leading a small team of innovative developers to rapidly iterate a mobile app using React Native, TypeScript, and AWS. This app catered to over 1 million dedicated users in the dynamic fashion industry. My primary focus was on the iOS app, utilizing React Native, Swift, and various React libraries, while also contributing to the back-end e-commerce system and APIs hosted on AWS.
Key responsibilities included overseeing the transition of a cross-platform codebase to TypeScript, and creating build workflows using Bitrise and Node.js. I also integrated Contentful, Iterable, Google APIs, Sentry, and even embedded a full-frame 2D game using Unity within the SNS app. Additionally, I implemented rich push notifications for both iOS and Android, managed the Apple Store and Google Play Store presences, and configured AWS services for efficiency and cost savings.
The tech stack I worked with included TypeScript, React Native, React.js, iOS (Swift), and XCode. I also handled REST and GraphQL APIs, Bitrise, Google APIs, Contentful, and MySQL databases, all hosted on AWS. This role allowed me to enhance my technical skills while contributing significantly to the growth and success of SNS in the competitive sneaker and streetwear market.
