| SYNOPSIS |

Klokie Grossfeld is a new media activist and chief technology coordinator for Surface to Air, a creative studio and artists collective co-founded in 2000 in Paris and New York City with satellite studios in Barcelona and Tokyo. Collaborating over the past ten years with respected international graphic and audiovisual artists, Klokie has conceived, directed, and built online systems and user interfaces for clients including Virgin Records (UK), the United Nations, New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations (USA), Stephen King / ABC TV (USA), and Circuit de Barcelona (Spain). Holding degrees in music theory and computer systems engineering with a concentration in digital signal processing, he is an earnest advocate of open-source and object-oriented methodologies, and is conversant in 10 computer and 4 human languages. As a classically trained musician and composer, he has written and recorded over 40 works, with several of his compositions performed at New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall and MIT’s Killian Hall. He is also a contributing writer for GuitarOne Magazine and LeCool’s webzine in Barcelona. |
